Athlon Dual Core: Overclocking the 4200+
Published on 2005-06-23, by Wesley Fink, ©AnandTech, Inc..
The official introduction of the Dual-Core
or X2 Athlon 64
happened at Computex the first of this month. As you saw on AnandTech in AMD's Athlon 64 X2 4800+
& 4200+ Dual Core Performance Preview the performance of the AMD Dual-Core desktop was stellar. The pricing, however, was a little hard to swallow with the range from just over $500 for the lowest-priced 4200+ to around $1000 for the top-line 4800+.

Investigations into Socket 939 Athlon 64 Overclocking
Published on 2005-10-03, by Jarred Walton, ©AnandTech, Inc.
This article is an in-depth look at overclocking. We'll cover how to do it, what sort of performance you can achieve, problems and potential solutions, etc. Overclocking can be frustrating, rewarding, fun, and dangerous. We don't mean burn the house down
dangerous, but you could certainly end up ruining some or all of your computer components. We take no responsibility for any difficulties or losses you may experience by using the information in this article, and we certainly take no responsibility for any damage that may occur to any person, place, or object. The manufacturers of the parts that we are using are also not accountable for any loss/damage that may occur - most companies void your warranty for overclocking. It's a risk, and it's your risk - proceed with caution. Finally, overclocking is never a "guaranteed result". You may or may not match the results that we achieve. We'll be happy to offer suggestions if you need them, as will many of our forum members. Patience and research are part of overclocking as well, so please understand that you may have to do some work on your own. If you can accept those warnings, we hope that you enjoy this article.

Published on 2005-09-02, by Rich Caporali, ©LegitReviews.com.
A few weeks ago Legit Reviews

Overclocking the GeForce 7800 GTX
Published on 2005-06-26, by Brandon Sandman Bell, ©FS Media, Inc..
Thanks to a stellar launch earlier this week, NVIDIA’s GeForce 7800 GTX
is poised to take the high-end 3D graphics market by storm. For the first time that we can recall, retail cards were (and still are) available online at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $599.99. And of course, the GeForce 7800 GTX
is no slouch when it comes to performance. Even at stock frequencies, the 7800 GTX easily outperformed its predecessors in our GeForce 7800 GTX
Performance Preview article, despite the fact that the board’s new clocks are only an incremental improvement over the GeForce 6800 Ultra
.
